KSearch Website Search Engine
KSearch website search engine, written in Perl, is fully customizable with unlimited page search. Can use DBM or flat-file database. Search results output produce XHTML 1.0 Strict doc types making HTML and CSS easily match your existing website.
KSearch 1.5 has an all new appearance, design and layout. Structurally, the Perl script hasn't changed a bit. Most of the changes are in its' presentation and XHTML doc type output.
What's new in version 1.5?
After downloading a copy, begin by reading and following the Installation Instructions in the readme.txt file, then review the faqs.html file for additional technical info.
* Search Results now W3C valid XHTML 1.0 Strict doc types
* All html files rewritten to XHTML 1.0 Strict specifications. W3C valid.
* CGI script (indexer.cgi and ksearch.cgi) rewritten to produce XHTML 1.0 Strict doc types.
* CSS level 2.1 style sheet added for improved presentation and appearance.
* Search Tips now integrated into the Search Form.
* Reorganized files and folder structure.
* New login GUI for indexer.cgi
* Integrated a default flat file database and search log.
* Easier to read and follow installation instructions.
